These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings, appointments, consultations, bridal services, makeup artistry services, lessons, events, editorial work, and any other beauty services provided by La Storia Makeup Atelier c/o Akmaral Parnell (“La Storia”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By making a booking and paying in part (deposit) or in full for your chosen service, you (“Client”, “Bride”, “Customer”, or “you”) agree to these Terms.

 

 

1. BOOKINGS & RESERVATIONS

1.1 All appointments and event dates are subject to availability.

1.2 A booking is only confirmed once:

  • A non-refundable booking fee/deposit has been received; and

  • Written confirmation has been issued by La Storia.

1.3 Wedding and event dates are reserved exclusively for the Client once the booking fee is paid.

1.4 La Storia reserves the right to decline bookings at its discretion.

1.5 The Client is responsible for ensuring all booking details, timings, addresses, and contact information provided are accurate.

2. DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

2.1 Bridal bookings require a non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee of 30% of the total booking value unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2.2 Standard occasion makeup appointments may require full payment upfront or a booking fee at the discretion of La Storia.

2.3 The remaining balance for bridal and event services must be paid no later than 14 days before the scheduled appointment or wedding date.

2.4 Bookings made within 14 days of the appointment date require full payment at the time of booking.

2.5 Failure to make payment by the stated due date may result in cancellation of the booking without refund of any monies already paid.

2.6 All prices are stated in GBP (£).

2.7 Prices are subject to change without prior notice; however, confirmed bookings will honour the agreed quoted rate.

 

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

3.1 All booking fees and deposits are strictly non-refundable.

3.2 Client cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.

3.3 The following cancellation charges apply:

  • More than 30 days before the appointment/event: booking fee retained.

  • 14–30 days before the appointment/event: 50% of the total booking value payable.

  • Less than 14 days before the appointment/event: 100% of the total booking value payable.

3.4 No-shows, same-day cancellations, or refusal of services at the appointment are non-refundable and charged in full.

3.5 If a Client reduces the number of booked services after confirmation, La Storia reserves the right to maintain the original quoted value.

3.6 Bridal previews/trials are non-refundable once completed.

4. RESCHEDULING & DATE CHANGES

4.1 Requests to reschedule are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

4.2 One date transfer may be permitted for bridal bookings if requested more than 30 days in advance and if La Storia is available on the new requested date.

4.3 Deposits and payments are non-transferable to another person.

4.4 If La Storia is unavailable for a rescheduled date, the booking will be treated as a cancellation under Clause 3.

 

5. REFUNDS

5.1 Due to the time, preparation, hygiene procedures, and reserved scheduling associated with makeup services, all completed services are non-refundable.

5.2 Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind;

  • Personal preference after service completion;

  • Delays caused by the Client or third parties;

  • Dissatisfaction resulting from undisclosed allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions.

5.3 Any concerns regarding services must be raised during the appointment so reasonable adjustments may be made where possible.

 

6. HYGIENE & SAFETY

6.1 La Storia maintains strict professional hygiene standards and sanitisation procedures.

6.2 Disposable tools may be used where appropriate to maintain hygiene.

6.3 Clients must not attend appointments if experiencing contagious illnesses or infections.

6.4 La Storia reserves the right to refuse services where hygiene or safety may be compromised.

7. BRIDAL SERVICES

7.1 Bridal packages include only the services expressly listed in the agreed quotation or package.

7.2 Bridal makeup trials are strongly recommended and may be required for certain bookings.

7.3 Additional bridal party members, guests, or services added after confirmation are subject to availability.

7.4 The Client must ensure all individuals receiving services arrive on time with clean, makeup-free skin unless otherwise advised.

7.5 La Storia is not responsible for delays caused by late arrivals, venue interruptions, scheduling changes by other suppliers, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

7.6 A suitable working area with adequate lighting, seating, cleanliness, and access to power outlets must be provided where services are delivered on location.

7.7 Early morning bookings before 7:00am may incur an additional fee.

 

8. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

8.1 Clients must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, or infections prior to the appointment.

8.2 La Storia reserves the right to refuse service where a contagious condition, unsafe environment, or health concern is identified.

8.3 The Client is responsible for ensuring appropriate behaviour from all persons present during the appointment.

8.4 Any abusive, threatening, inappropriate, discriminatory, intoxicated, or unsafe behaviour towards La Storia will result in immediate termination of services without refund.

9. PHOTOGRAPHY & PORTFOLIO USE

9.1 Unless otherwise requested in writing by the Client, La Storia may photograph or record makeup work for portfolio, website, editorial, educational, and marketing purposes.

9.2 Images may be shared on:

  • Website;

  • Social media platforms;

  • Promotional materials;

  • Professional portfolios.

9.3 Clients who wish to remain private must notify La Storia in writing prior to the appointment.

 

10. ALLERGIES & LIABILITY

10.1 While every effort is made to use high-quality professional products, La Storia cannot guarantee against allergic reactions.

10.2 Patch testing is available upon request.

10.3 By proceeding with services, the Client accepts responsibility for any allergic or sensitivity-related reactions where no prior disclosure was made.

10.4 La Storia shall not be liable for:

  • Allergic reactions;

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings;

  • Delays caused by circumstances outside reasonable control;

  • Indirect or consequential losses.

10.5 La Storia’s maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the relevant service.

11. TRAVEL & LOCATION SERVICES

11.1 Travel charges apply for appointments outside the standard service radius and are charged as stated within current pricing or quotation.

11.2 Additional costs including parking, tolls, congestion charges, accommodation, or destination travel expenses will be payable by the Client where applicable.

11.3 For destination weddings or events requiring overnight stays, suitable accommodation arrangements may be required at the Client’s expense.

 

12. FORCE MAJEURE

12.1 La Storia shall not be held liable for cancellations, delays, or inability to perform services due to events outside reasonable control including but not limited to:

  • Extreme weather;

  • Natural disasters;

  • Illness;

  • Accidents;

  • Government restrictions;

  • Transport disruptions;

  • Venue closures;

  • Power failures.

12.2 In such circumstances, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule services where possible.

13. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

La Storia reserves the right to refuse or terminate services immediately where:

  • Terms are breached;

  • Unsafe or unsuitable working conditions exist;

  • Inappropriate conduct occurs;

  • Health, hygiene, or safety concerns arise.

No refunds will be issued in such cases.

 

14. GIFT VOUCHERS & PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

14.1 Gift vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

14.2 Expired vouchers will not be honoured.

14.3 Promotional offers cannot be combined unless expressly stated.

 

15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

15.1 All content, branding, imagery, materials, pricing guides, documents, and artistic work created by La Storia remain the intellectual property of La Storia.

15.2 No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written consent.

 

16. DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY

16.1 Client information will be handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.

16.2 Personal information will only be used for booking administration, communication, and service delivery purposes.

16.3 Client information will not be sold to third parties.

17. COMPLAINTS

17.1 Any concerns or complaints must be raised in writing within 48 hours of the appointment.

17.2 La Storia will review all reasonable complaints fairly and attempt to resolve concerns appropriately.

 

18. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

19. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By paying in part (deposit) or in full for the chosen service from La Storia Makeup Atelier, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
